NHS Dumfries and Galloway is looking for an inspiring individual to lead the Medical Physics service.

The department currently employs 10 members of staff providing Medical Physics services to Hospitals and Health Centres throughout the area.   The service includes Medical equipment Management for 15,000 assets provided to a broad range of services. These services include Critical Care, Renal, Woman and Children's.

Applicants should have :-

A degree or equivalent qualification in Medical Technology, Applied Physics or Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Highly developed specialist knowledge and expertise to Masters level in relevant disciplines
Significant experience in Equipment Management.  
Experience in Staff management.
Excellent communication skills.
Wide knowledge of medical equipment its operation and application.
High level of experience in repair and maintenance procedures.
A current full driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
