Tianyi Medical strategically acquires Nikkiso CRRT business to accelerate global footprint
Ningbo Tianyi Medical Appliance Co., Ltd. (stock code: 301097, hereinafter referred to as “Tianyi Medical”) recently announced that its affiliated investment entity Ningbo Tianhuiyi Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Ningbo Tianhuiyi”) has completed the transaction closure of the CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy) business with Nikkiso Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nikkiso”). With Nikkiso‘s manufacturing and operating entities in Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, China, Thailand, Colombia and other countries, and a broad supply and marketing network and channel advantages in CRRT business to combine with Tianyi Medical‘s capabilities in CRRT consumables, this acquisition will boost Tianyi Medical’s expansion into global CRRT market, gaining synergies from providing “equipment + consumables” in combination.
Relying on the acquisition target’s manufacturing footprint and R&D centers in Germany and Belgium respectively, Tianyi Medical will accelerate the R&D process of next generation for Aquarius CRRT equipment to support global business, and the localization process simultaneously to support Chinese market as well. On top of device segment, the CRRT consumables pipelines such as solutions developed by Tianyi Medical will also contribute to build up a CRRT ecosystem to enhance the competitiveness significantly.
This acquisition is an important milestone in Tianyi Medical’s internationalization strategy after its listing. The company will take the critical care business as the main growth point utilizing equipment and consumables synergically. In the future, Tianyi Medical will continue to deepen technology integration, expand the treatment field, , and provide safer and more efficient medical solutions for patients around the world.
