silver-copper ionisation

John Barnes
I did see a post on the forum on this subject dated 2015, just wondered if any of you have experienced this type of disinfection as a replacement for Chlorine, we have been warned that this may be the case for our systems going forward so looking for information on best testers, I'm not sure on the levels that will be used but hoping that the RO system can remove or would prefiltering be needed, I know that the safest answer is to have the supply to the plant taken pre ionisation not sure how much of a problem that would be at this time

thanks John

Hi John,
I can't recommend strongly enough that you insist on getting renal supply before Ag-Cu dosing. I believe this is recommended in RA/ART Water guidelines after previous incident. If not done then the unit is one human/pump error or valve failure etc away from a serious incident. The engineering exists to get water/fluids to anywhere from anywhere these days.
Best of luck
G
