Hi Mike,

NxStage:  we pay about £1500-2000 for plumbing and electrical works.
We buy and supply the contractors with JG pushfit fittings and additional LLDPE pipe, Metafix flood stopper and Stuart Turner Flomate booster pump(if required)

Contractors fit plumbed drain. water feed, 2 double RCD outlet on its own feed from the consumer unit, and a small square of vinyl to protect the floor from minor spills

Fresenius:  we pay about £2500 -3000 for plumbing and electrical works
We buy and supply Spectrum triple 20" filter with CFB-plus carbons, Coral 10 litre softener @ ~£240 8mm and 6mm PVC hose and Walther couplings and drain couplings (RS 325-0179). If required we supply a Stuart Turner Flomate pump or occasionally a DAB Esybox Mini

Contractors fit plumbed drain and water feed, fitting of triple filter assembly, shelf for water softener, 2 double RCD outlet on its own feed from the consumer unit, Metafix flood stopper and a small square of vinyl to protect the floor from minor spills. If the layout is spread out we may fit a third double RCD socket .

The biggest differences in costs are nearly always due to drains sometimes the drain needs to go a long way or needs a pump - our contractors use a Sanivite 3 as normal domestic Saniflows got blocked with smelly gunk too easily.

Our contractors used to do a lot of work for the trust and are fantastic. They nearly always respond to problems same day even though the hospital work is only a small part of their business.

We use a local removal company to transport the equipment and they have been great too - even getting 5008S machines into loft conversions up rickety spiral stairs. They charge £140 to pick up equipment from us and deliver to the patient.
